Abstract Art For Sale | New England Contemporary Artist | Inspired by the Coast of Maine | Landscape | Seascape | Acrylic | Oil | Watercolor | Tutorials
I have been creating using music, art, photography, dance and drama as long as I can remember. I am a classically trained flutist, currently working as a middle school music teacher in Bangor, Maine. About 20 years ago, I started studying visual art and created works using acrylics and oils. I love teaching others and to be creators and makers. In recent years, I have been the featured artist in local art galleries as well as displaying virtually with the Bangor Public Library in their "Hope" display.
MY FAVORITE WORK
Creating scenes from nature is my passion. I love looking around and finding inspiration from the world around us. I enjoy gardening and use the plants in my own garden as inspiration for my floral paintings. I spend much time traveling the state of Maine and photographing the magnificent mountains, lakes and of course, the ocean. I have travelled all around the continental United States, Hawaii, Mexico and Europe. On each of my travels, I use my photography skills to capture unique images that serve as inspiration to create original works of art in my studio.
MY LIFE TODAY
I am the mother of three teenage sons and one adult daughter and son-in-law, and a beautiful granddaughter. My husband Kevin and I photographed weddings for several years and I currently still do portrait sessions for families and children. We now work together to share my art with others. You can also often find us in the stands and Bangor High School football, track and basketball events cheering on our boys.
