I have been creating using music, art, photography, dance and drama as long as I can remember. I am a classically trained flutist, currently working as a middle school music teacher in Bangor, Maine. About 20 years ago, I started to studying visual art and created works using acrylics and oils. Recently, I have been studying a fairly new medium called alcohol ink. In August of 2019, I was the featured artist at the Adams Community Gallery in Bangor. I also am very active online and enjoy sharing my work with others.
Creating scenes from nature is my passion. I love looking around and finding inspiration from the world around us. I enjoy gardening and use the plants in my own garden as inspiration for my floral paintings. I spend much time traveling the state of Maine and photographing the magnificent mountains, lakes and of course, the ocean. I then use those pictures to create original works of art in my studio.
I am the mother of three teenage sons and one adult daughter and son-in-law who are expecting their first child, our first granddaughter in January 2020. My husband Kevin and I photographed portraits and weddings together for several years. We now work together to share my art with others. You can also often find us in the stands and Bangor High School football, soccer and basketball events cheering on our boys.
